About me

Hi, I'm Melanie.

SFX makeup has been my passion for many years. I created my first special effects looks back in 2014 in my childhood bedroom, using whatever materials I could find at home. Like many beginners, I had no clear roadmap—I learned through trial and error, lots of practice, and a passion for creating realistic effects.

In 2016, I trained professionally as a makeup and hair artist. While SFX started as a hobby, it gradually became an important part of my work. Since 2021, I've been sharing my knowledge on Instagram, where I help artists from all over the world learn prosthetic making and special effects makeup in a simple and approachable way.

I was born and raised in South Tyrol, Italy, and have been living and working in Germany for almost ten years. My goal is to make prosthetic making easier to understand by providing the clear, step-by-step guidance I wish I had when I first started.
